Cases and Risk of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan

Summary

As of April 2, there are thirteen (13) new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 206 reported cases of COVID‐19 in Saskatchewan.

  • 206 cases are confirmed and no (0) cases are presumptive
  • Six (6) of the cases are individuals in the zero to 19-year-old category; all others are adults, with 55% of the cases are males and 45% are females
  • Ten (10) cases are a result of local exposures that are unidentifiable and are not related to travel or mass gathering/event-related
  • A total of four (4) individuals are hospitalized; including two (2) inpatient hospitalizations and two (2) in ICU hospitalizations
  • Three (3) Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died. Saskatchewan now has a fatality rate of 1.5%
  • A total of thirty-six (36) individuals have recovered (17.5%)
  • To date, 11,395 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan
