
Summary
As of April 6, there are four (4) new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 253 reported cases of COVID‐19 in Saskatchewan.
- No (0) new cases were Saskatchewan residents tested in out of province
- 253 cases are confirmed and no (0) cases are presumptive
- 169 cases out of the 253 cases are considered active (66.8%)
- Eleven (11) of the cases are individuals in the zero to 19-year-old category; all others are adults, with 53% of the cases are males and 47% are females
- Fourteen (14) cases are a result of local exposures that are unidentifiable and are not related to travel or mass gathering/event-related
- A total of four (4) individuals are hospitalized; including two (2) inpatient hospitalizations and two (2) in ICU hospitalization (Saskatoon counts pending confirmation)
- Three (3) Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died. Saskatchewan now has a fatality rate of 1.2%
- A total of eighty-one (81) individuals have recovered (32.0%)
- To date, 14,178 COVID-19 tests have been performed
