Summary
As of April 14th, there is one (1) new confirmed case, bringing the total to 301 reported cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan.
- No (0) new cases were Saskatchewan residents tested out of province
- 301 cases are confirmed and none (0) are presumptive (referred to RRPL/NML for confirmatory testing)
- 110 cases out of the 301 cases are considered active (36.5%)
- 147 cases are in the Saskatoon area, 65 cases are from the Regina area, 57 cases are from the north area, 15 cases are from the south area, ten (10) cases are from the central area and seven (7) cases are in the far north
- Twenty-one (21) of the cases are individuals in the 0-19 year old category; all others are adults, with 53% of the cases are males and 47% are females
- 44% (131) of cases are travel-related, 40% (121) are either contacts or linked to a mass gathering event, 9% (27) have no known exposures and 7% (22) are under investigation by local public health
- hirty-four (34) cases are healthcare workers, although the source of their infections may not be health care related
- A total of seven (7) individuals are hospitalized; including seven (7) inpatient hospitalizations and none (0) in ICU hospitalization
- Four (4) Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died. Saskatchewan now has a fatality rate of 1.3%
- A total of 187 individuals have recovered (62.1%)
- 20,282 COVID-19 tests had been performed in Saskatchewan.
