Summary
As of April 16, there is one (1) new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 305 reported cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan.
- 305 cases are confirmed and none (0) are presumptive (referred to RRPL/NML for confirmatory testing)
- 82 cases out of the 305 cases are considered active (26.9%)
- 147 cases are in the Saskatoon area, 68 cases are from the Regina area, 58 cases are from the north area, 15 cases are from the south area, ten (10) cases are from the central area and seven (7) cases are in the far north
- Twenty-two (22) of the cases are individuals in the 0-19 year old category; all others are adults, with 52% of the cases are males and 48% are females
- 132 cases are travel-related, 124 are either contacts or linked to a mass gathering event, 29 have no known exposures and 20 are under investigation by local public health
- Thirty-four (34) cases are healthcare workers, although the source of their infections may not be health care related
- A total of seven (7) individuals are hospitalized; including seven (7) inpatient hospitalizations and none (0) in ICU hospitalization
- Four (4) Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died. Saskatchewan now has a fatality rate of 1.3%
- A total of 219 individuals have recovered (71.8%)
- 21,569 COVID-19 tests had been performed in Saskatchewan.
