8 deaths and 1,276 cases confirmed:

the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has been informed of 8 additional deaths among people with COVID-19 in Ireland (5 of these deaths are from October, 2 from September and 1 from June)
there have been 1,849 COVID-19 related deaths in Ireland
1,276 additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed
there have now been 48,678 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland
