18 deaths and 269 cases confirmed:
- the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has been informed of 18 additional deaths among people with COVID-19 in Ireland. Of the deaths reported today, 1 death occurred in October, 15 deaths in November and 2 are under investigation
- there have been 2,069 COVID-19 related deaths in Ireland
- 269 additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed
- there have now been 72,798 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland
- as of 2pm today (Tuesday), 224 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 31 are in ICU. There have been 14 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours
