Under the law on the mandatory reporting of infectious diseases, laboratories are required to report test results for certain infectious diseases within specified time limits. Thus, PCR test results regarding a COVID-19 infection must be sent to the Health Inspectorate Division within one day. Nevertheless, delays longer than one day may occur and laboratories may send some PCR test results with a delay of several days. As a result of this catching-up on tests, retrospective corrections are made to the statistics presented on the www.covid19.lu website.

For improved responsiveness: accelerated dispatch of COVID-19 test prescriptions and mobile testing teams to schools
The sanitary arrangements for schools foresee that in the event of an isolated case in a class, i.e. when only one pupil or teacher in a class is tested positive for COVID-19, the class concerned continues to attend school, while being separated.

New COVID-26 cases - Weekly review: 26 October - 1 November
The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 is up sharply with 4,701 cases for the week of 26 October to 1 November, compared to 3,388 cases for the previous week (+39%).
