Highlights

  • The 304 new cases are reported from 13 states- Rivers (154), Ekiti (33), Edo (20) FCT (18), Oyo (17), Cross River (15), Delta (15), Akwa Ibom (13), Ogun (11), Bayelsa (4), Sokoto (2), Gombe (1) and Nasarawa (1)
  • A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
  • On the 20th of August 2021, 304 new confirmed cases and 3 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
  • Till date, 185571 cases have been confirmed, 168124 cases have been discharged and 2247 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
