Highlights

  • Till date, 190983 cases have been confirmed, 178047 cases have been discharged and 2361 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
  • The 650 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (261), Ondo (95), Rivers (80), Akwa Ibom (59), Oyo (24), Ekiti (22), Delta (20), Edo (18), Enugu (15), Bayelsa (14), Ogun (11), Kaduna (8), Plateau (7), Kano (6), FCT (5), Gombe (3), and Abia (2)
  • A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
  • On the 28th of August 2021, 650 new confirmed cases and 53 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
