As the population is busy doing their shopping in preparation for Christmas and the New Year, the Risk Communication & Community Engagement Committee (RCCE), joined by IPC Unit and volunteer students from NIHSS follows up with the Community engagement activity today 22nd December 2020 by carrying out compliance check in town area reasserting importance of adherence to COVID-19 public health measures and enter in conversation with various work place on how they can go about re-enforcing adherence in their establishment. The Risk Communications and Community Engagement (

The Risk Communications and Community Engagement (RCCE) Committee of the Ministry of Health conducted a compliance check earlier today in town to check the level of adherence to public health measures in shops.

Joined by the Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Team and volunteer NIHSS students, they observed interactions at select locations including Orion Mall, Deevas Arcade, Shipping House, Unity House, OJ mall and Victoria House.

The group also interacted with shoppers to reinforce health messages and share some giveaways (masks and sanitisers) that will facilitate the implementation of the measures.

The RCCE team thanks the retailers for their welcome and eager participation in the activity, and the Rotary Club of Victoria for sponsoring masks for giveaways.
