Updates on COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) Local Situation
Notices
You can help with COVID-19 Contact Tracing by retaining your taxi receipts for a month!
In view of the evolving COVID-19 situation, we would like to advise commuters who take taxis to request for a receipt and retain it for a month to facilitate contact tracing if required. Contact tracing of each COVID-19 confirmed case is a crucial step in our efforts to prevent further possible spread of the virus. Should you or your driver become infected with the COVID-19 virus, these receipts would enable the contact tracing team to identify contacts expediently and keep your families, friends and our community safe. Let’s all do our part in the fight against COVID-19!
Collection of Masks
From 5 April (Sunday) to 12 April (Sunday), residents with registered home addresses will be able to collect one (1) reusable mask at the designated CCs or RCs. For more information, visit maskgowhere.gov.sg
Singapore COVID-19 Symptom Checker
The Singapore COVID-19 Symptom Checker (https://sgcovidcheck.com) is an information resource website for Singapore residents that will suggest preferred care options based on their age, recent travel history, people they may have been exposed to, and the symptoms they might be having. The website does not collect personally identifiable data.
Upon completion of the questions, the user will receive immediate suggestions on possible next steps. However, this checker does not replace instructions from healthcare providers, or guidance from local health authorities. Developed by National University Health System (NUHS), the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) and the MOH Office for Healthcare Transformation (MOHT), it is currently in English and will be available in other languages soon.
Clarifications on Misinformation
03 Apr 2020: Singapore General Hospital (SGH) is aware of a fake memo bearing the SGH logo circulating on social media and text messaging platforms that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has tested positive for COVID-19.
This is untrue. Please click here for SGH's clarification.
27 Mar 2020: We are aware of scammers using automated voice calls or impersonating as MOH staff or contact tracing team, asking users to provide personal information including financial details, or collect documents from the Ministry. We wish to clarify that:
- MOH will not ask for your financial details during contact tracing; and
- MOH will not ask you to collect documents from us, if you do not have existing matters with us.
When in doubt, please verify the authenticity of phone calls by calling MOH hotline at 1800-333-9999. It is a good practice to always verify the authenticity of instructions before offering any personal information or making payments to anyone.
We advise members of the public to not speculate and/or spread unfounded rumours. Please visit www.moh.gov.sg for updates on the COVID-19 situation and click here for past clarifications.
