As of 3 May 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 657 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.
Among the cases:
Of the new cases, 87% are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.
61 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. To date, 1,408 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.
Most of the 1,630 confirmed cases who are still in hospital are stable or improving. 22 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
15,149 cases who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
An 86 year-old female Singapore Citizen, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 3 May 2020. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 27 April, and had a history of diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia. Khoo Teck Puat Hospital has reached out to her family and is extending assistance to them.
18 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
