As of 21 May 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 448 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

Among the cases:

  • Imported cases: 0
  • Cases in the community: 14 (13 Singaporeans/PRs, 1 Work Permit holder)
  • Cases residing in dormitories: 434

Of the new cases, 99% are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

910 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. To date, 12,117 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.

Most of the 901 confirmed cases who are still in hospital are stable or improving. 10 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

16,771 cases who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.

Passing of 73 year old due to COVID-19

A 73 year-old male Singapore Citizen, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 21 May 2020. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 17 April, and had a history of hypertension, hyperlipidaemia and hypothyroidism. The National Centre for Infectious Diseases has reached out to his family and is extending assistance to them.

23 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
