As of 26 October 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified 1 new case of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection. The case resides in a dormitory and there are no new cases in the community. In addition, there are 2 imported cases, who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore. All new cases today are asymptomatic, and were detected from proactive screening and surveillance.
Overall, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 4 cases in the week before, to 2 in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has remained stable at 2 cases a week in the past 2 weeks. We will continue to closely monitor these numbers, as well as the cases detected through our surveillance programme.

There are no cases in the community today.
There is 1 case residing in a dormitory today, who was detected from the bi-weekly Rostered Routine Testing of workers living in dormitories, even though he is asymptomatic.
Amongst the 2 imported cases, 1 is a Student’s Pass holder who arrived from France and the other is a Dependant’s Pass holder who arrived from the UAE. They had both been placed on SHN upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN.
21 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 57,879 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
Most of the 43 confirmed cases who are still in hospital are stable or improving. None is in the intensive care unit.
23 cases who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
28 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
