As of 19 November 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified that there are no new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection. There are 4 imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. Amongst the new cases today, 3 are asymptomatic, and were detected from proactive screening and surveillance, while 1 was symptomatic.
Overall, the number of new cases in the community has remained low, with no new cases in the past week. Among the cases:
There are no cases in the community today.
There are no cases residing in dormitories today.
Amongst the 4 imported cases, 1 is a Singaporean and another is a Singapore Permanent Resident who returned from Indonesia and India respectively. Another case is a Work Permit holder currently employed in Singapore who arrived from Indonesia. The remaining case is a Special Pass holder who arrived from Montenegro to board a ship docked here as a crew member. They had already been placed on SHN or isolated upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN.
Case 58343 has been experiencing shortness of breath since 11 November but had declared that he did not have any of the specified symptoms, including shortness of breath, in his health declaration form submitted for immigration clearance on 17 November. Investigations are ongoing to assess if there has been any breach of our travel requirements.
6 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 58,052 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
Most of the 28 confirmed cases who are still in hospital are stable or improving. 1 is in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
31 cases who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
28 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
