Soziale Kontakte einschränken Limit social contacts
Wir brauchen jetzt Zusammenhalt aber auch Distanz im täglichen Leben. We now need cohesion but also distance in everyday life. Wir werden unser Leben in den nächsten Monaten verändern müssen. Einschränkungen bei Veranstaltungen Event restrictions
Outdoor-Veranstaltungen mit über 500 Teilnehmern und Indoor-Veranstaltungen mit über 100 Teilnehmern werden bis Anfang April untersagt. Outdoor events with over 500 participants and indoor events with over 100 participants are prohibited until early April. Sportveranstaltungen ohne Publikum sind weiter möglich. Einreiseverbote aus Italien Entry bans from Italy
Eine Einreise aus Italien ist nur mehr gestattet, wenn ein ärztliches Gesundheitsattest vorgelegt werden kann. An entry from Italy is only permitted if a medical health certificate can be presented. Eine Durchreise durch Österreich aus Italien kommend ist nur mehr gestattet, wenn kein Zwischenstopp in Österreich eingelegt wird. A transit through Austria coming from Italy is only permitted if there is no stopover in Austria.
Österreicher, die sich in Italien befinden, werden zurückgeholt, müssen sich aber anschließend für zwei Wochen in häusliche Quarantäne begeben. Austrians who are in Italy are brought back, but then have to go into quarantine at home for two weeks.
Einschränkungen bei Besuchen im Krankenhaus Restrictions on visits to the hospital
Angehörigen von Personen, die sich in einem stationären Aufenthalt in einem Krankenhaus befinden, werden ersucht, von Krankenbesuchen abzusehen oder diese auf ein Minimum zu beschränken. Relatives of people who are hospitalized are requested to refrain from visiting the sick or to keep them to a minimum. Auch hier empfiehlt sich telefonischer Kontakt. Hochschulen werden geschlossen Universities are closed

Das neuartige Corona-Virus gehört zur großen Familie der Coronaviren, die beim Menschen leichte Erkältungen bis hin zu schweren Lungenentzündungen verursachen können. The novel corona virus belongs to the large family of corona viruses, which can cause mild colds to severe pneumonia in humans. COVID-19 heißt die Erkrankung, die durch das neuartige Corona-Virus (SARS-CoV-2) ausgelöst wird. COVID-19 is the name of the disease that is caused by the novel corona virus (SARS-CoV-2).
Wie äußert sich die Krankheit COVID-19? How does the disease COVID-19 express itself?
Es gibt unterschiedliche Verlaufsformen der Erkrankung. There are different forms of the disease. Diese reichen von milden Beschwerden einer Erkältung über Husten, Atembeschwerden oder Fieber bis zu schweren Fällen. These range from mild symptoms of a cold to coughing, difficulty breathing or fever to severe cases. Die Infektion kann dabei auch eine Lungenentzündung, ein schweres akutes Atemnotsyndrom, Nierenversagen und sogar den Tod verursachen. The infection can also cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory distress syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
Wie lange dauert die Inkubationszeit? How long is the incubation period?
Man geht derzeit von einer Inkubationszeit von 2 bis 14 Tagen aus. An incubation period of 2 to 14 days is currently assumed.
Wie ist das Virus übertragbar? How is the virus transmitted?
Die Übertragung erfolgt von Mensch zu Mensch über Tröpfcheninfektion (Husten, Niesen, Küssen), über Hand-Mund-Augenkontakt oder Kontakt mit kontaminierten Händen oder Oberflächen. The transmission takes place from person to person via droplet infection (coughing, sneezing, kissing), hand-mouth-eye contact or contact with contaminated hands or surfaces.
Wie erfolgt der Schutz vor Ansteckung? How is protection against infection carried out?
- Vermeiden Sie Kontakt zu kranken Menschen, die an Husten, Atembeschwerden oder Fieber leiden. Avoid contact with sick people who suffer from cough, difficulty breathing or fever.

Vor allem sind Menschen mit engem Kontakt zu einem an COVID-19 Erkrankten gefährdet, wie zB Familienangehörige, medizinisches Personal, ohne entsprechende Schutzausrüstung. Seit 26.1.2020 ( Verordnung ) ist das neuartige Corona-Virus in Österreich bei Verdacht, Erkrankung und Tod nach dem Epidemiegesetz 1958 ( Gesetz ) meldepflichtig.
