Cases and Risk of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan

Summary

As of April 20, there one new case of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, bringing the total to 316 reported cases in the province.

  • 316 cases are confirmed. There are no (0) presumptive cases.
  • 74 cases out of the 316 cases are considered active
  • 149 cases are in the Saskatoon area, 70 cases are from the Regina area, 60 cases are from the north area, 15 cases are from the south area, 11 cases are from the central area and 11 cases are in the far north
  • 24 of the cases are individuals in the 0-19 year old category; all others are adults, with 52% of the cases are males and 48% are females
  • 134 cases are travel-related, 132 are either contacts or linked to a mass gathering event, 30 have no known exposures and 20 are under investigation by local public health
  • 35 cases are healthcare workers, although the source of their infections may not be health care related
  • A total of four (4) individuals are hospitalized; including three (3) inpatient hospitalizations and one (1) in ICU hospitalization
  • Four (4) Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died. Saskatchewan now has a fatality rate of 1.3%
  • A total of 238 individuals have recovered (74.3%)
  • 24,412 COVID-19 tests had been performed in Saskatchewan.
