Daily COVID-19 statistics for the Cayman Islands
The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 487 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Friday, 5 February 2021. Three were positive. The individuals are travellers who tested positive following routine screening. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered. The total number of COVID-19 vaccines administered to date is 13,609, with 716 first doses having been given the ORIA site on Saturday, 6 February 2021. The total number of people completing the two-dose course is 4,770. To date, 80% of over 70-year-olds and 70% of over 60-year-olds have received at least one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. For symptomatic patients:
10 days after symptom onset, plus at least 3 additional days without symptoms (including without fever and without respiratory symptoms). Persons will then be retested and must obtain two negative tests 24 hours apart.
For asymptomatic cases:
10 days after positive test for COVID-19. Persons will be then be retested and must obtain two negative tests 24 hours apart.
