How is the data collected?

As of 22 May 2020, 1 335 410 cases have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: United Kingdom (250 908), Spain (233 037), Italy (228 006), Germany (177 212), France (144 163), Belgium (56 235), Netherlands (44 700), Sweden (32 172), Portugal (29 912), Ireland (24 391), Poland (20 143), Romania (17 585), Austria (16 332), Denmark (11 182), Czechia (8 754), Norway (8 268), Finland (6 493), Luxembourg (3 980), Hungary (3 678), Greece (2 853), Bulgaria (2 372), Croatia (2 237), Iceland (1 803), Estonia (1 800), Lithuania (1 594), Slovakia (1 502), Slovenia (1 468), Latvia (1 025), Cyprus (923), Malta (599) and Liechtenstein (83).

As of 22 May 2020, 160 002 deaths have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: United Kingdom (36 042), Italy (32 486), France (28 215), Spain (27 940), Belgium (9 186), Germany (8 174), Netherlands (5 775), Sweden (3 871), Ireland (1 583), Portugal (1 277), Romania (1 151), Poland (972), Austria (633), Denmark (561), Hungary (476), Czechia (306), Finland (306), Norway (234), Greece (168), Bulgaria (125), Luxembourg (109), Slovenia (106), Croatia (97), Estonia (64), Lithuania (61), Slovakia (28), Latvia (22), Cyprus (17), Iceland (10), Malta (6) and Liechtenstein (1).

NOTE: On 20 May 2020, the United Kingdom reported less cumulative cases than the previous day. This is due to revisions in historical data.
