How is the data collected?

As of 11 June 2020, 1 454 718 cases have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: United Kingdom (290 143), Spain (242 280), Italy (235 763), Germany (185 416), France (155 136), Belgium (59 569), Netherlands (48 087), Sweden (46 814), Portugal (35 600), Poland (27 757), Ireland (25 231), Romania (20 945), Austria (16 936), Denmark (12 016), Czechia (9 824), Norway (8 576), Finland (7 040), Luxembourg (4 049), Hungary (4 027), Greece (3 068), Bulgaria (2 889), Croatia (2 249), Estonia (1 958), Iceland (1 807), Lithuania (1 733), Slovakia (1 533), Slovenia (1 488), Latvia (1 092), Cyprus (974), Malta (635) and Liechtenstein (83).

As of 11 June 2020, 170 294 deaths have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: United Kingdom (41 128), Italy (34 114), France (29 319), Spain (27 136), Belgium (9 629), Germany (8 755), Netherlands (6 042), Sweden (4 795), Ireland (1 695), Portugal (1 495), Romania (1 360), Poland (1 206), Austria (673), Denmark (593), Hungary (551), Czechia (330), Finland (324), Norway (239), Greece (183), Bulgaria (167), Luxembourg (110), Slovenia (109), Croatia (106), Lithuania (74), Estonia (69), Slovakia (28), Latvia (26), Cyprus (18), Iceland (10), Malta (9) and Liechtenstein (1).

NOTE: on 29/05/2020, the increase reported by France is due to the implementation of a new laboratory-based surveillance system of COVID-19 (SI-DEP) since 13 May with a significant increase of the laboratory coverage, allowing the inclusion of retrospective cases diagnosed since that date.
