As of 12 August 2020, 1 853 444 cases have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: Spain (326 612), United Kingdom (312 789), Italy (251 237), Germany (218 519), France (204 172), Sweden (83 126), Belgium (74 915), Romania (63 762), Netherlands (59 918), Poland (52 961), Portugal (52 945), Ireland (26 801), Austria (22 260), Czechia (18 783), Denmark (14 959), Bulgaria (13 722), Norway (9 684), Finland (7 623), Luxembourg (7 242), Greece (5 942), Croatia (5 740), Hungary (4 746), Slovakia (2 615), Lithuania (2 283), Slovenia (2 272), Estonia (2 167), Iceland (1 968), Latvia (1 303), Cyprus (1 277), Malta (1 012) and Liechtenstein (89).

As of 12 August 2020, 184 070 deaths have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: United Kingdom (46 526), Italy (35 215), France (30 354), Spain (28 581), Belgium (9 885), Germany (9 207), Netherlands (6 150), Sweden (5 770), Romania (2 764), Poland (1 821), Ireland (1 773), Portugal (1 761), Austria (723), Denmark (621), Hungary (605), Bulgaria (471), Czechia (391), Finland (333), Norway (256), Greece (214), Croatia (160), Luxembourg (122), Slovenia (120), Lithuania (81), Estonia (63), Latvia (32), Slovakia (31), Cyprus (20), Iceland (10), Malta (9) and Liechtenstein (1).

*The COVID-19 cases reported for Malta do not include COVID-19 positive migrant cases who have disembarked in Malta and have been quarantined upon arrival.

On 10 August 2020, the United Kingdom reported less cumulative deaths in the United Kingdom and less cumulative cases in Gibraltar than the previous days. This is due to revisions in historical data.
