As of 27 August 2020, 2 120 207 cases have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: Spain (419 849), United Kingdom (328 846), Italy (262 540), France (253 587), Germany (237 936), Sweden (87 072), Belgium (82 936), Romania (81 646), Netherlands (68 046), Poland (63 802), Portugal (56 274), Ireland (28 363), Austria (26 154), Czechia (22 951), Denmark (16 537), Bulgaria (15 751), Norway (10 454), Greece (9 280), Croatia (8 888), Finland (8 002), Luxembourg (7 928), Hungary (5 288), Slovakia (3 536), Lithuania (2 726), Slovenia (2 722), Estonia (2 311), Iceland (2 082), Malta (1 751), Cyprus (1 484), Latvia (1 360) and Liechtenstein (105).
As of 27 August 2020, 181 129 deaths have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: United Kingdom (41 465), Italy (35 458), France (30 544), Spain (28 971), Belgium (9 879), Germany (9 285), Netherlands (6 206), Sweden (5 817), Romania (3 421), Poland (1 994), Portugal (1 807), Ireland (1 777), Austria (733), Denmark (623), Hungary (614), Bulgaria (586), Czechia (418), Finland (335), Norway (264), Greece (248), Croatia (175), Slovenia (128), Luxembourg (124), Lithuania (85), Estonia (64), Latvia (33), Slovakia (33), Cyprus (21), Iceland (10), Malta (10) and Liechtenstein (1).
*The COVID-19 cases reported for Malta do not include COVID-19 positive migrant cases who have disembarked in Malta and have been quarantined upon arrival.
From 24 August, Monaco only reported figures among residents resulting in a drop in cases and deaths.
On 17 August 2020, in Malta, the total number of cases resulted in a lower case count compared to the previous day. This may be due to a revision in historical data.
The cases reported in the table below for Spain include cases from the previous 14 days with available data at the time of data collection. On 12 August 2020, Spain retro corrected the cumulative number of deaths leading to a negative increase of deaths.
