As of 29 August 2020, 2 168 764 cases have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: Spain (439 286), United Kingdom (331 644), France (267 077), Italy (265 409), Germany (240 986), Romania (84 468), Sweden (83 958), Belgium (83 858), Netherlands (69 063), Poland (65 480), Portugal (57 074), Ireland (28 579), Austria (26 763), Czechia (23 777), Denmark (16 700), Bulgaria (16 065), Norway (10 543), Greece (9 800), Croatia (9 549), Finland (8 042), Luxembourg (6 580), Hungary (5 511), Slovakia (3 728), Lithuania (2 810), Slovenia (2 797), Estonia (2 343), Iceland (2 092), Malta (1 820), Cyprus (1 481), Latvia (1 375) and Liechtenstein (106).

As of 29 August 2020, 181 531 deaths have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: United Kingdom (41 486), Italy (35 472), France (30 596), Spain (29 011), Belgium (9 886), Germany (9 289), Netherlands (6 211), Sweden (5 821), Romania (3 507), Poland (2 018), Portugal (1 915), Ireland (1 777), Austria (733), Denmark (624), Hungary (614), Bulgaria (603), Czechia (419), Finland (335), Norway (264), Greece (259), Croatia (180), Slovenia (128), Luxembourg (124), Lithuania (86), Estonia (64), Latvia (34), Slovakia (33), Cyprus (21), Iceland (10), Malta (10) and Liechtenstein (1).

*The COVID-19 cases reported for Malta do not include COVID-19 positive migrant cases who have disembarked in Malta and have been quarantined upon arrival.

On 28 August 2020, Cyprus reported less cases resulting in a negative number. Data will be updated as soon as it is made available.

As of 24 August 2020, Authorities in Luxembourg report COVID-19 cases and deaths from their resident population only. Therefore, the difference with the figure from 27 August is translated into a negative value for the cases and deaths reported on 28 August 2020

From 24 August, Monaco only reported figures among residents resulting in a drop in cases and deaths.

On 17 August 2020, in Malta, the total number of cases resulted in a lower case count compared to the previous day. This may be due to a revision in historical data.

The cases reported in the table below for Spain include cases from the previous 14 days with available data at the time of data collection. On 12 August 2020, Spain retro corrected the cumulative number of deaths leading to a negative increase of deaths.
