As of 29 September 2020, 3 251 403 cases have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: Spain (748 266), France (542 639), United Kingdom (439 013), Italy (311 364), Germany (287 421), Romania (123 944), Belgium (115 259), Netherlands (114 419), Sweden (90 923), Poland (88 636), Portugal (74 029), Czechia (65 883), Austria (43 885), Ireland (35 378), Denmark (27 072), Hungary (25 567), Bulgaria (20 271), Greece (17 707), Croatia (16 245), Norway (13 698), Finland (9 734), Slovakia (9 343), Luxembourg (8 376), Slovenia (5 394), Lithuania (4 490), Estonia (3 267), Malta (3 006), Iceland (2 663), Latvia (1 697), Cyprus (1 696) and Liechtenstein (118).

As of 29 September 2020, 189 190 deaths have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: United Kingdom (42 001), Italy (35 851), France (31 808), Spain (31 411), Belgium (9 987), Germany (9 471), Netherlands (6 371), Sweden (5 880), Romania (4 748), Poland (2 447), Portugal (1 957), Ireland (1 802), Bulgaria (807), Austria (790), Hungary (757), Denmark (649), Czechia (618), Greece (383), Finland (345), Norway (274), Croatia (272), Slovenia (136), Luxembourg (124), Lithuania (92), Estonia (64), Slovakia (44), Latvia (36), Malta (32), Cyprus (22), Iceland (10) and Liechtenstein (1).

*From end of August 2020, Swedish authorities are performing daily data consolidation leading to data retro-corrections. From week 38, the Swedish Public Health Agency will update COVID-19 daily data four times per week on Tuesday–Friday. Hence, the cumulative figures and related outputs include cases and deaths from the previous 14 days with available data at the time of data collection.

As of 24 August 2020, Authorities in Luxembourg report COVID-19 cases and deaths from their resident population only. Therefore, the difference with the figure from 27 August is translated into a negative value for the cases and deaths reported on 28 August 2020
