As of 01 October 2020, 3 346 962 cases have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: Spain (769 188), France (563 535), United Kingdom (453 264), Italy (314 861), Germany (291 722), Romania (127 572), Netherlands (120 713), Belgium (118 358), Sweden (92 863), Poland (91 514), Portugal (75 542), Czechia (68 919), Austria (45 753), Ireland (36 155), Denmark (27 998), Hungary (27 309), Bulgaria (20 833), Greece (18 475), Croatia (16 593), Norway (13 914), Slovakia (10 141), Finland (9 992), Luxembourg (8 509), Slovenia (5 690), Lithuania (4 693), Estonia (3 371), Malta (3 058), Iceland (2 728), Latvia (1 824), Cyprus (1 755) and Liechtenstein (120).

As of 01 October 2020, 190 272 deaths have been reported in the EU/EEA and the UK: United Kingdom (42 143), Italy (35 894), France (31 956), Spain (31 791), Belgium (10 016), Germany (9 500), Netherlands (6 397), Sweden (5 893), Romania (4 825), Poland (2 513), Portugal (1 971), Ireland (1 804), Bulgaria (825), Austria (799), Hungary (781), Czechia (655), Denmark (650), Greece (391), Finland (344), Croatia (280), Norway (274), Slovenia (138), Luxembourg (124), Lithuania (92), Estonia (64), Slovakia (48), Latvia (37), Malta (34), Cyprus (22), Iceland (10) and Liechtenstein (1).

*From end of August 2020, Swedish authorities are performing daily data consolidation leading to data retro-corrections. From week 38, the Swedish Public Health Agency will update COVID-19 daily data four times per week on Tuesday–Friday. Hence, the cumulative figures and related outputs include cases and deaths from the previous 14 days with available data at the time of data collection.

As of 24 August 2020, Authorities in Luxembourg report COVID-19 cases and deaths from their resident population only. Therefore, the difference with the figure from 27 August is translated into a negative value for the cases and deaths reported on 28 August 2020
