> 1 was found confirmed through testing conducted for Senior Employment Project.
> 1 was a contact of confirmed case.
- 2 local cases are from Incheon City. Further investigation into the chain of transmission is underway.
○ 8 additional confirmed cases have been reported between 0:00 and 12:00 today, bringing the total related to the cluster to 119.
- In Incheon City, 8 contacts (students=6; coworker=1; parent=1) of a confirmed case (a private academy teacher) related to Itaewon clubs were confirmed. Further investigation and disease control measures are underway.

○ KCDC asked anyone who visited any of the nightlife entertainment venues in Itaewon area including any clubs or bars from 24 April to 6 May to:
- (1) Stay home and refrain from going to other places.
- (2) Contact a local public health center or dial 1339 (KCDC call center).
- (3) Visit a screening clinic and get tested, regardless of symptoms.
○ KCDC also asked municipal governments and healthcare institutions and screening clinics to actively help such people get tested regardless of symptoms or which specific venue they visited.
○ To prevent unnecessary invasion of privacy, the guidelines on disclosure of travel routes of confirmed cases will be revised. Anonymous testing will be expanded nationwide. When a cluster outbreak emerges from a certain location, disclosure of the outbreak location will be separated from discloure of the recent travel routes of individual confirmed cases.
○ Noting the recent rise in local transmission of COVID-19, KCDC stressed the importance of early detection through diagnostic testing.
○ KCDC requested that the general public carefully follow the 5 Infection Prevention Rules and avoid visiting any place that makes it easy to come in close contact with many people including but not limited to nightclubs and bars.
- “5 Basic Infection Prevention Rules for Everyone”:
- (1) Stay home for 3-4 days if you get sick.
- (2) Keep a distance of two arms’ length between you and other people.
- (3) Wash your hands for 30 seconds. Cough/sneeze into your sleeve.
- (4) Ventilate your space at least twice a day and disinfect regularly.
- (5) Keep in touch with family and friends even while maintaining physical distancing.
○ KCDC reminded the public to stay home and not go to work if having fever or respiratory symptoms and to call the KCDC call center (1339 or area code + 120) or contact a local public health center and get tested if having prolonged fever over 38 degrees or aggravating respiratory symptoms.
- KCDC also asked healthcare institutions to liberally test patients with suspected symptoms.
- KCDC urged people to visit a screening center to get tested especially if two or more persons within a household unit or travel group unit develop COVID-19 suspected symptoms.
