Epidemiological Situation with COVID -19 in Kyrgyzstan as of April 14

On April 14, 11 new COVID-19 infection cases were detected in the KR, 6 in women and in 5 men: 

Bishkek City- 8 

Chui region - 1 

Jalal- Abad region - 2 

By today total of 430 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Kyrgyzstan: 

Jalal-Abad region - 93
Osh region – 128

Osh City- 59
Chui region - 28

Bishkek City- 77
Batken region - 5
Naryn region - 34
Issyk-Kul region - 6.

Of the reported positive cases - 230 are women, 200 men. Age distribution of cases:

  1. Children under the age of 15 years - 40
  2. Of these, under 1 - 3 
  3. 16 - 19 - 12
  4. 20 - 35 - 106 
  5. 35 - 55 - 162
  6. 55 and older - 110

During the day, 4 patients with previously confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis were discharged from the Jalal- Abad regional Hospital  (Ala-Buka Territorial Hospital), with negative test results upon discharge. In total, 71 patients were discharged as recovered throughout the country.    

The total number of fatal cases - 5 

79 health workers got infected with COVID-19, including 24 doctors, 32 paramedical staff – medical nurses, laboratory assistants, medical assistants, the rest are junior medical staff, including junior nurses, laundresses, cooks and others.

Total number of samples received for testing (since 5.02.2020)-

The number of tests performed - 26 147 

The number of tests performed during the day - 1 019 

The number of contacts with laboratory-confirmed Covid-2019 patients - is 7 100 (the number of contacts may vary subject to epidemiological investigations):

 Close contacts (I category) - 1 417 

 Other contacts (II category) - 5 683 

By now, 974 people are under medical observation in health care facilities of Kyrgyzstan.
