Epidemiological Situation with COVID -19 in Kyrgyzstan as of May 7

As of May 7, 2020, 24 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered in the republic, 13 in women and 11 in men:   

Bishkek City- cases,   

Jalal-Abad region - cases,  

Osh region - 3 cases,  

Naryn region - 12 cases,  

Chui region - cases.  

By today total of 895 confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered in the KR. Of the registered positive cases – 478 are women, 417 are men:  

Jalal-Abad region - 132,   

Osh region - 172

Osh City - 113, 

Chui region - 78 

Bishkek City – 257, 

Batken region - 18, 

Naryn region - 115, 

Issyk-Kul region - 10.

Today COVID-19 cases were confirmed in health workers:

Bishkek - 1,

Chui region - 1

Jalal-Abad region - 1. 

Total number of health care workers, diagnosed with COVID-19 is 224 cases, 161 of them were discharged from hospitals with recovery. 

       

Currently, 246 patients with Covid-19 confirmed diagnosis are being treated in hospitals of the republic, 7 of them are in serious condition, 4 of them in intensive care  units, 63 patients in moderate condition and 176 in satisfactory. 

Today 23 patients with previously confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis were discharged from hospitals of the country with negative test results:

Bishkek City – 15 and

Osh City - 8

By today the total of 637 patients were discharged from hospitals with recovery throughout the country.     

Number of COVID-19 associated deaths - 12.

Total number of samples received for testing (since 05.02.2020) – 69 333

Number of tests performed in the last 24 hours –

2 121.                        

 

The number of contacts with laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 patients is 4 071 [the number of contacts may vary subject to the results of epidemiological investigations].   

 

676 people are in observation facilities of Kyrgyzstan.
