Epidemiological Situation with COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan as of April 17

On April 17, 23 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered in the republic, 15 in women and 8 in men

As of today, total of 489 COVID cases are confirmed in Kyrgyzstan:

Jalal-Abad Region - 93 

Osh Region - 135 

Osh City - 73 

Chui Region - 28 

Bishkek City- 102 

Batken Region - 

Naryn Region - 45 

Issyk-Kul Region - 8 
  
Of the registered positive cases – 266 are women and 223 - men.

  1. Children under the age of 15 - 45
  2. Of these, under 1 yr of age - 3
  3. 16 - 19 yrs- 13
  4. 20 - 35 yrs - 118
  5. 35 - 55 yrs- 189
  6. 55 and older – 124

During the day 12 health workers were tested COVID-19 positive:

7 – in Bishkek,

4 – in Osh region (Nookat district - 3, Uzgen district - 1),

1 – in Osh city. 

As of today, the total number of COVID-19 contracted health workers in the KR- is 116.  

During the day, 23 patients with previous COVID-19 diagnosis were discharged from the hospitals:
Osh City- 7,
Bishkek City- 9
Jalal-Abad region - 7

By today, the total number of patients discharged as recovered throughout the country is 114.

Currently, 370 people are being managed at hospitals, including 13 in serious condition, 4 of them in intensive care units. The condition of the remaining patients with COVID-19 is assessed as moderate or satisfactory.

The total number of fatal cases is 5.


Total number of samples delivered for testing since April 5 is 30 379 

The total number of tests performed is – 29 550 

The total number of tests performed during the day is - 1133 
 
 

The number of contacts with laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 patients is 7 593 (the number of contacts may vary subject to epidemiological investigations): 

- Close contacts (I category) - 1 612 

- Other contacts (II category) - 5 981.

857 people are under medical observation in Kyrgyzstan.
