Epidemiological Situation with COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan as of April 23

As of April 23 , 2020, 19 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered in the republic, 5 in women and 14 in men.         :   

Osh Region - 3,  

Osh city - 4 

Chui region - 4

Bishkek City - 8.   

 

By today, total of 631 confirmed cases were registered in Kyrgyzstan: 

Jalal-Abad region - 109,  

Osh region - 154

Osh city - 101, 

Chui region - 38

Bishkek City - 141, 

Batken region - 6, 

Naryn region - 74, 

Issyk-Kul region – 8 cases. 

Of the registered positive cases, 340 are women and 291 men

Today 5 more COVID-19 cases were registered in health workers:  

Osh region - 1, 

Osh City - 1, 

Bishkek City - 3. 

The total number of health workers tested COVID- 19 positive is 162.    

 

By today, total of 321 people are being managed at hospitals of the republic, 11 of them in serious condition, 5 of which are in intensive care units. The condition of the remaining patients is moderate or satisfactory. 

During the day, 48 patients with previously confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis were discharged from hospitals of the republic with negative test results at discharge:  

Bishkek City (RCIDH) - 14

Naryn region (At-Bashy district) - 2

Osh region (Nookat district - 4, THB “Kurmanzhan Datka” - 3) - 7

Osh City (OIRMCH - 6, OCCH - 19) – 25.

By today, total of 302 patients were discharged from hospitals as recovered throughout the country.  

The death of one 53-year-old female patient with previously confirmed Covid-19 (from the Chui region) was reported today. 

The total number of Covid-19-associated deaths in the republic is 8.   

The total number of samples received for testing – is 40 513 

The number of tests performed by today – is 39 615  

The number of tests performed today – is 2 125  

 

The number of contacts with laboratory-confirmed Сovid-19 patients is 8 842 [the number of contacts may vary subject to epidemiological investigations’ results]:  

  • Close contacts (I category) - 2 177 
  • Other contacts (II category) - 6 665         

914 people are staying in observation facilities of Kyrgyzstan.
