Epidemiological Situation with COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan as of May 6, 2020

As of May 6, 2020, 28 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered in the republic, 15 in women and  13 in men:

Bishkek City- 16 cases,  

Jalal-Abad region - 6 cases,  

Batken region - cases,  

Chui region - cases.  

 

By today, total of 871 confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered in the KR. Of the registered positive cases – in 465 women and 406 - in men:  

Jalal-Abad region - 129,   

Osh region - 169

Osh City - 113, 

Chui region - 74

Bishkek City- 255, 

Batken region - 18, 

Naryn region - 103, 

Issyk-Kul region - 10.

Today 4 more COVID-19 cases were confirmed in health workers in Bishkek City

The total number of health workers, diagnosed with COVID-19 by today is 221 casesof which 154 were discharged from hospitals, all with negative tests results:

Today, 14 patients with previously confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis were discharged from hospitals:  

Bishkek City - 5

Naryn region - 3

Issyk-Kul region - 1

Jalal-Abad region - 5.

By today, total of 614 patients were discharged with recovery throughout the country.  

67 years old woman died today in Bishkek of severe form of Coronavirus infection (COVID-19). She has developed the following complications: bilateral pneumonia, multiple organ failure syndrome, cerebral edema. Concomitant diseases: cirrhosis of the liver with portal hypertension, exudative pleurisy. 

In total, 12 people died in Kyrgyzstan of COVID-19 associated reasons.      

 

Total number of samples received for testing (since 05.02.2020) – 59 490

Number of tests performed in the last 24 hours –

1 571                      

 

The number of contacts with laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 patients is 3 855 [the number of contacts may vary subject to the results of epidemiological investigations]   

 

675 people are in observation facilities of Kyrgyzstan.
