Epidemiological situation with COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan as of April 5

By April 5, 2020, 3 new COVID-19 confirmed cases were registered in the republic. All patients are registered in Bishkek city. As of today, 147 COVID-19 confirmed cases are registered in the republic:

Bishkek - 20
Osh region - 47
Batken region - 3
Jalal-Abad region - 67
Chuy region - 4
Issyk-Kul region - 2
Naryn region - 4

Currently, 5 of Coronavirus infected cases are in intensive care unit in a serious condition. Of these, 2 patients are on ventilation machine, 3 are on oxygen.

The number of contacts with laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 patients is 5048 (the number of contacts may vary subject to epidemiological investigations), including: 

548 - close and family contacts

1454- other contacts.    
 
 

On April 3, the Kyrgyz Republic received 5 kits of PCR test systems, which were distributed to the laboratories; each kit has the reagents and equipment for 220 tests, total of - 1100 tests.

“Today we are getting the cargo from China with 84 kits of PCR test systems. In addition, next week we expect the cargo to come from the Russian Federation with 90 PCR kits; also we will procure 350 PCR diagnostic kits from, thereby we hope that the problems of COVID diagnosis by PCR will be solved”, said Kyrgyz Minister of Health Sabirzhan Abdikarimov.
