Recovered patients

In the past twenty-four hours, 152 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 92 patients, Osh city – 2, Chuy province – 43, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 5, Issyk-Kul province – 10, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 0.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 86 773 patients.

New cases

 

As of April 17th, 2021, a total of 265 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic within the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 148, Osh city – 3, Chuy province – 80, Osh province – 4, Talas province – 4, Naryn province – 6, Issyk-Kul province – 12, Jalal-Abad province – 6, Batken province – 2.

Overall, 91 639 cases were registered during the entire period, including 48 576 laboratory-confirmed cases and 43 063 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

3 616 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 1130 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 1223 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 577, Osh city – 40, Chuy province – 357, Osh province – 21, Talas province – 11, Naryn province – 25, Issyk-Kul province – 67, Jalal-Abad province – 16, Batken province – 16. Out of the 1130 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 26 people (2.3%) is categorized as satisfactory, 779 patients (68.9%) are in moderately severe condition, 287 (25.3%) in severe and 38 (3.3%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 913, Osh city – 5, Chuy province – 231, Osh province – 6, Talas province – 7, Naryn province – 4, Issyk-Kul province – 32, Jalal-Abad province – 22, Batken province – 3.

Fatalities

 

Two (2) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours – both due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Bishkek). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1546 cases, including 495 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1051 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

Nine (9) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours: 3 in Bishkek city, 4 in Chuy province, 1 in Osh city, 1 in Issyk-Kul province. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4350. In the past twenty-four hours, 2 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care, and 4 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4264 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
