In the past twenty-four hours, 161 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 97 patients, Osh city – 3, Chuy province – 44, Osh province – 2, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 1, Issyk-Kul province – 12, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 0.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 87,390 patients.

New cases

 

As of April 21st, 2021, a total of 306 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic in the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 203, Osh city – 5, Chuy province – 52, Osh province – 11, Talas province – 1, Naryn province – 4, Issyk-Kul province – 16, Jalal-Abad province – 10, Batken province – 4.

Overall, 92,626 cases were registered during the entire period, including 49,389 laboratory-confirmed cases and 43,237 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

In the past twenty-four hours, 5,606 PCR tests were carried out.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 1,309 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 1,390 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 711, Osh city – 40, Chuy province – 376, Osh province – 34, Talas province – 10, Naryn province – 32, Issyk-Kul province – 76, Jalal-Abad province – 18, Batken province – 12. Out of the 1,309 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 29 people (2.2 %) is categorized as satisfactory, 911 patients (69.5%) are in moderately severe condition, 307 (23.4%) in severe and 52 (3.9%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 988, Osh city – 7, Chuy province – 264, Osh province – 13, Talas province – 13, Naryn province – 10, Issyk-Kul province – 62, Jalal-Abad province – 27, Batken province – 6.

Fatalities

 

Four (4) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 1 case due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Chuy province) and 3 cases due to COVID-19 diagnosed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek – 2, Chuy province – 1). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1,561cases, including 504 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,057 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

Nine (9) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours: 5 in Bishkek city, 1 in Chuy province, 1 in Osh city, 1 in Osh province, 1 in Issyk-Kul province. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4,369. In the past twenty-four hours, 5 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care, and 4 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4,285 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
