In the past twenty-four hours, 111 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 69 patients, Osh city – 1, Chuy province – 33, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 5, Jalal-Abad province – 3, Batken province – 0.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 85 607 patients.

New cases

 

As of April 8th, 2021, a total of 222 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered in the republic in the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 183, Osh city – 4, Chuy province – 24, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 2, Issyk-Kul province – 4, Jalal-Abad province – 4, Batken province – 1.

Overall, 89 660 cases were registered during the entire period, including 46 935 laboratory-confirmed cases and 42 725 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

3 924 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 712 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 870 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 386, Osh city – 26, Chuy province – 212, Osh province – 5, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 17, Issyk-Kul province – 45, Jalal-Abad province – 16, Batken province – 3. Out of the 712 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 2 people (0.2%) is categorized as satisfactory, 528 patients (74.1%) are in moderately severe condition, 158 (22.1%) in severe and 24 (3.3%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 705, Osh city – 3, Chuy province – 113, Osh province – 10, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 3, Issyk-Kul province – 18, Jalal-Abad province – 11, Batken province – 5.

Fatalities

 

Four (4) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 2 cases due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Bishkek – 1, Chuy province – 1) and 2 cases due to COVID-19 diagnosed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek – 2). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1516 cases, including 480 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1036 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

Twelve (12) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours: 8 in Bishkek city, 3 in Chuy province, 1 in Osh city. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4294. In the past twenty-four hours, 4 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care, and 2 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4221 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
