In the past twenty-four hours, 76 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 33 patients, Osh city – 2, Chuy province – 26, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 1, Issyk-Kul province – 11, Jalal-Abad province – 1, Batken province – 0.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 82 879 patients.

New cases

 

As of February 23rd, 2021, a total of 72 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic in the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 17, Osh city – 0, Chuy province – 47, Osh province – 1, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 1, Issyk-Kul province – 3, Jalal-Abad province – 1, Batken province – 2.

Overall, 86 001 cases were registered during the entire period, including 44 527 laboratory-confirmed cases and 41 474 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

3105 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 383 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 341 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 134, Osh city – 10, Chuy province – 112, Osh province – 32, Talas province – 6, Naryn province – 20, Issyk-Kul province – 48, Jalal-Abad province – 7, Batken province – 14. Out of the 383 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 7 people (1.8%) is categorized as satisfactory, 266 patients (69.4%) are in moderately severe condition, 90 (23.4%) in severe and 20 (5.2%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 102, Osh city – 17, Chuy province – 121, Osh province – 26, Talas province – 12, Naryn province – 18, Issyk-Kul province – 24, Jalal-Abad province – 12, Batken province – 9.

Fatalities

 

Two (2) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 1 case due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Bishkek) and 1 case due to COVID-19 diagnosed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1460 cases, including 458 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1002 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

No new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4202. In the past twenty-four hours, 0 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care, and 4 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4158 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
