In the past twenty-four hours, 52 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 21 patients, Osh city – 3, Chuy province – 18, Osh province – 1, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 1, Issyk-Kul province – 5, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 1.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 83 179 patients.

New cases

 

As of February 28th, 2021, a total of 44 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic in the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 16, Osh city – 5, Chuy province – 10, Osh province – 5, Talas province – 1, Naryn province – 2, Issyk-Kul province – 5, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 0.

Overall, 86 229 cases were registered during the entire period, including 44 585 laboratory-confirmed cases and 41 644 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

3061 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 364 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 283 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 124, Osh city – 15, Chuy province – 105, Osh province – 28, Talas province – 6, Naryn province – 19, Issyk-Kul province – 50, Jalal-Abad province – 4, Batken province – 13. Out of the 364 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 2 people (0.5%) is categorized as satisfactory, 254 patients (69.7%) are in moderately severe condition, 92 (25.2%) in severe and 16 (4.3%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 95, Osh city – 15, Chuy province – 82, Osh province – 30, Talas province – 7, Naryn province – 18, Issyk-Kul province – 23, Jalal-Abad province – 6, Batken province – 7.

Fatalities

 

One (1) death due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 was registered in the past twenty-four hours (Bishkek). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1464 cases, including 460 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1004 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

No new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4205. In the past twenty-four hours, 0 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 3 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4179 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
