Recovered patients

In the past twenty-four hours, 128 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 52 patients, Osh city – 3, Chuy province – 40, Osh province – 11, Talas province – 3, Naryn province – 2, Issyk-Kul province – 10, Jalal-Abad province – 7, and Batken province – 0.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 78 994 patients.

New cases

As of January 17th, 2021, a total of 123 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic in the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 42, Osh city – 1, Chuy province – 33, Osh province – 10, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 7, Issyk-Kul province – 22, Jalal-Abad province – 6, Batken province – 0.

Overall, 83 109 cases were registered during the entire period, including 43 442 laboratory-confirmed cases and 39 667 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

1 716 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 796 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 1004 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 278, Osh city – 26, Chuy province – 203, Osh province – 80, Talas province – 9, Naryn province – 27, Issyk-Kul province – 116, Jalal-Abad province – 33, Batken province – 24. Out of the 796 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of people (0.8%) is categorized as satisfactory, 522 patients (65.5%) are in moderately severe condition, 229 (28.7%) in severe and 38 (4.7%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 524, Osh city – 18, Chuy province – 209, Osh province – 32, Talas province – 5, Naryn province – 14, Issyk-Kul province – 143, Jalal-Abad province – 40, Batken province – 19.

Fatalities

 

Two (2) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours – both due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1384 cases, including 429 laboratory-confirmed cases and 955 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

Medical workers

Eight (8) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours, including 2 in the red zone. Five (5) cases (2 in the red zone) occurred in Bishkek city, 1 case in Chiu province, 2 cases in Issyk-Kul province. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4158. In the past twenty-four hours, 1 medical worker was discharged from inpatient care, and 4 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4055 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
