New cases
As of March 17th, 2021, a total of 55 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic in the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 30, Osh city – 2, Chuy province – 13, Osh province – 1, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 4, Issyk-Kul province – 5, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 0.
Overall, 87 045 cases were registered during the entire period, including 44 920 laboratory-confirmed cases and 42 125 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

Receiving treatment
Currently, a total of 333 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 307 people are in outpatient care.
The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 155, Osh city – 14, Chuy province – 98, Osh province – 15, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 15, Issyk-Kul province – 29, Jalal-Abad province – 5, Batken province – 2. Out of the 333 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 2 people (0.6%) is categorized as satisfactory, 236 patients (70.8%) are in moderately severe condition, 77 (23.1%) in severe and 18 (5.4%) in critical condition.
The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 157, Osh city – 9, Chuy province – 80, Osh province – 28, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 9, Issyk-Kul province – 14, Jalal-Abad province – 3, Batken province – 7.
Fatalities
One (1) death due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data was registered in the past twenty-four hours (Chuy province). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1485 cases, including 466 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1019 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.
Medical workers
No new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4208. In the past twenty-four hours, 0 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 0 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4195 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
