In the past twenty-four hours, 55 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 23 patients, Osh city – 0, Chuy province – 18, Osh province – 2, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 4, Issyk-Kul province – 6, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 2.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 84 185 patients.

New cases

 

As of March 21st, 2021, a total of 68 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic within the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 45, Osh city – 4, Chuy province – 12, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 6, Jalal-Abad province – 1, Batken province – 0.

Overall, 87 389 cases were registered during the entire period, including 45 151 laboratory-confirmed cases and 42 238 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

3 418 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 410 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 361 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 183, Osh city – 19, Chuy province – 135, Osh province – 17, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 11, Issyk-Kul province – 34, Jalal-Abad province – 9, Batken province – 2. Out of the 410 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 278 patients (67.8%) is categorized as moderately severe, 113 (27.5%) are in severe and 19 (4.6%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 219, Osh city – 10, Chuy province – 71, Osh province – 31, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 10, Issyk-Kul province – 11, Jalal-Abad province – 4, Batken province – 5.

Fatalities

 

Two (2) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours – both due to COVID-19 diagnosed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek). The overall COVID-19 death toll in the republic comprises 1490 cases, including 466 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1024 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

Two (2) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours (Bishkek city – 1, Chuy province – 1). The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4219. In the past twenty-four hours, 0 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 0 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4195 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
