In the past twenty-four hours, 45 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 16 patients, Osh city – 4, Chuy province – 11, Osh province – 2, Talas province – 4, Naryn province – 1, Issyk-Kul province – 7, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 0.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 83 575 patients.

New cases

 

As of March 8th, 2021, a total of 33 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic in the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 17, Osh city – 1, Chuy province – 0, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 1, Issyk-Kul province – 12, Jalal-Abad province – 2, Batken province – 0.

Overall, 86 583 cases were registered during the entire period, including 44 705 laboratory-confirmed cases and 41 878 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

2125 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 334 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 260 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 127, Osh city – 11, Chuy province – 87, Osh province – 17, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 19, Issyk-Kul province – 59, Jalal-Abad province – 9, Batken province – 5. Out of the 334 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 1 person (0.2%) is categorized as satisfactory, 236 patients (70.6%) are in moderately severe condition, 85 (25.4%) in severe and 12 (3.5%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 100, Osh city – 12, Chuy province – 60, Osh province – 31, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 11, Issyk-Kul province – 28, Jalal-Abad province – 9, Batken province – 7.

Fatalities

 

Two (2) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 1 case due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Bishkek) and 1 case due to COVID-19 diagnosed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1473 cases, including 463 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1010 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

No new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4206. In the past twenty-four hours, 0 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 0 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4195 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
