Recovered patients

In the past twenty-four hours, 289 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 197 patients, Osh city – 8, Chuy province – 52, Osh province – 5, Talas province – 5, Naryn province – 10, Issyk-Kul province – 5, Jalal-Abad province – 6, Batken province – 1.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 92,409 patients.

New cases

 

As of May 12th, 2021, a total of 283 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic within the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 158, Osh city – 14, Chuy province – 75, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 3, Naryn province – 10, Issyk-Kul province – 18, Jalal-Abad province – 5, Batken province – 0.

Overall, 99,316 cases were registered during the entire period, including 54,794 laboratory-confirmed cases and 44,522 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

4,159 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 1,755 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 2,472 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 974, Osh city – 43, Chuy province – 460, Osh province – 25, Talas province – 10, Naryn province – 63, Issyk-Kul province – 154, Jalal-Abad province – 13, Batken province – 13. Out of the 1,755  patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 15 people (0.8%) is categorized as satisfactory, 1,204 patients (68.6%) are in moderately severe condition, 447 (25.4%) in severe and 89 (5.0%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 1,693, Osh city – 56, Chuy province – 504, Osh province – 25, Talas province – 10, Naryn province – 24, Issyk-Kul province – 104, Jalal-Abad province – 46, Batken province – 10.

Fatalities

 

Eight (8) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 1 case due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Chuy province) and 7 cases due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek – 5, Chuy province – 2). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1,675 cases, including 560 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,115 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

Medical workers

Six (6) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours, including 1 case in the red zone. Four (4) cases occurred in Bishkek city, 1 in Chuy province, 1 in Issyk-Kul province. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4,511. In the past twenty-four hours, 4 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 2 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4,446 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
