Recovered patients

In the past twenty-four hours, 308 patients with COVID-19 diagnosis confirmed on the basis of laboratory and clinico-epidemiological data recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 224 patients, Osh city – 7, Chuy province – 64, Osh province – 5, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 2, Issyk-Kul province – 4, Jalal-Abad province – 0, Batken province – 0.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 96,119 patients.

New cases

 

As of May 24th, 2021, a total of 191 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic within the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 121, Osh city – 11, Chuy province – 28, Osh province – 2, Talas province – 6, Naryn province – 8, Issyk-Kul province – 11, Jalal-Abad province – 4, Batken province – 0.

Overall, 102,702 cases were registered during the entire period, including 57,312 laboratory-confirmed cases and 45,390 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

3,378 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 1,571 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 2,228 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 864, Osh city – 54, Chuy province – 378, Osh province – 24, Talas province – 21, Naryn province – 58, Issyk-Kul province – 139, Jalal-Abad province – 23, Batken province – 10. Out of the 1,571 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 17 people (1%) is categorized as satisfactory, 1,062 patients (67.6%) are in moderately severe condition, 411 (26.1%) in severe and 81 (5.2%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 1,527, Osh city – 49, Chuy province – 378, Osh province – 39, Talas province – 22, Naryn province – 27, Issyk-Kul province – 141, Jalal-Abad province – 40, Batken province – 5.

Fatalities

 

Six (6) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 3 cases due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Bishkek) and 3 cases due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek – 1, Chuy province – 1, Talas province – 1). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1,757 cases, including 606 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,151 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

Three (3) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours, including 1 case in the red zone. All three cases occurred in Bishkek. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4,595. In the past twenty-four hours, 0 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 4 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4,532 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
