Recovered patients

In the past twenty-four hours, 391 patients with COVID-19 diagnosis confirmed on the basis of laboratory and clinico-epidemiological data recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 278 patients, Osh city – 7, Chuy province – 68, Osh province – 2, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 11, Issyk-Kul province – 20, Jalal-Abad province – 3, Batken province – 0.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 97,542 patients.

New cases

 

As of May 28th, 2021, a total of 283 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic within the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 169, Osh city – 15, Chuy province – 35, Osh province – 5, Talas province – 4, Naryn province – 8, Issyk-Kul province – 26, Jalal-Abad province – 15, Batken province – 6.

Overall, 103,866 cases were registered during the entire period, including 58,258 laboratory-confirmed cases and 45,608 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

5,028 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 1,658 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 1,854 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 892, Osh city – 69, Chuy province – 392, Osh province – 36, Talas province – 22, Naryn province – 48, Issyk-Kul province – 155, Jalal-Abad province – 25, Batken province – 19. Out of the 1,658 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 20 people (1.2%) is categorized as satisfactory, 1,126 patients (67.9%) are in moderately severe condition, 422 (25.4%) in severe and 90 (5.4%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 1,128, Osh city – 65, Chuy province – 343, Osh province – 49, Talas province – 24, Naryn province – 37, Issyk-Kul province – 147, Jalal-Abad province – 56, Batken province – 5.

Fatalities

 

Seven (7) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 5 cases due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Bishkek – 3, Chuy province –1, Talas province –1) and 2 cases due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek – 1, Osh city – 1). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1,788 cases, including 625 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,163 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

Five (5) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours: 1 in Bishkek, 2 in Osh city,  2 in Issyk-Kul province. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4,637. In the past twenty-four hours, 3 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 4 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4,560 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
