In the past twenty-four hours, 202 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 131 patients, Osh city – 6, Chuy province – 51, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 3, Issyk-Kul province – 10, Jalal-Abad province – 1, Batken province – 0.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 89,921 patients.

New cases

 

As of May 3rd, 2021, a total of 277 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic within the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 212, Osh city – 2, Chuy province – 49, Osh province – 5, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 1, Issyk-Kul province – 7, Jalal-Abad province – 1, Batken province – 0.

Overall, 96,337 cases were registered during the entire period, including 52,379 laboratory-confirmed cases and 43,958 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

2,689 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 1,498 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 2,307 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 827, Osh city – 42, Chuy province – 430, Osh province – 25, Talas province – 7, Naryn province – 49, Issyk-Kul province – 83, Jalal-Abad province – 22, Batken province – 13. Out of the 1,498 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 2 people (0.1%) is categorized as satisfactory, 1,048 patients (69.9%) are in moderately severe condition, 375 (25.0%) in severe and 73 (4.8%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 1,642, Osh city – 39, Chuy province – 415, Osh province – 35, Talas province – 30, Naryn province – 10, Issyk-Kul province – 105, Jalal-Abad province – 24, Batken province – 7.

Fatalities

 

Three (3) deaths due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data were registered in the past twenty-four hours, in Bishkek. The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1,622 cases, including 538 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,084 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

 

Medical workers

Four (4) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours – all in Bishkek city. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4,451.
