In the past twenty-four hours, 308 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 202 patients, Osh city – 2, Chuy province – 77, Osh province – 2, Talas province – 2, Naryn province – 5, Issyk-Kul province – 14, Jalal-Abad province – 4, Batken province – 0.
Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 91,267 patients.

New cases
As of May 8th, 2021, a total of 416 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic within the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 246, Osh city – 10, Chuy province – 110, Osh province – 3, Talas province – 0, Naryn province – 5, Issyk-Kul province – 25, Jalal-Abad province – 15, Batken province – 2.
Overall, 98,079 cases were registered during the entire period, including 53,791 laboratory-confirmed cases and 44,288 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

Receiving treatment
Currently, a total of 1,653 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 2,514 people are in outpatient care.
The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 931, Osh city – 35, Chuy province – 452, Osh province – 19, Talas province – 6, Naryn province – 56, Issyk-Kul province – 125, Jalal-Abad province – 17, Batken province – 12. Out of the 1,653 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 3 people (0.1%) is categorized as satisfactory, 1,130 patients (68.3%) are in moderately severe condition, 437 (26.4%) in severe and 83 (5.0%) in critical condition.
The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 1,702, Osh city – 59, Chuy province – 507, Osh province – 43, Talas province – 25, Naryn province – 15, Issyk-Kul province – 109, Jalal-Abad province – 44, Batken province – 10.
Fatalities
Six (6) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 2 cases due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Bishkek and Chuy province) and 4 cases due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek – 3, Issyk-Kul province – 1). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1,649 cases, including 551 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,098 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.
Medical workers
Seven (7) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours: 5 cases in Bishkek city, 1 in Chuy province, 1 in Issyk-Kul province. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4,485. In the past twenty-four hours, 4 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 8 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4,417 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
