Recovered patients

In the past twenty-four hours, 292 patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis recovered and were discharged from care across the republic, including: in Bishkek city – 183 patients, Osh city – 4, Chuy province – 75, Osh province – 3, Talas province – 4, Naryn province – 0, Issyk-Kul province – 13, Jalal-Abad province – 7, Batken province – 3.

Total number of recoveries during the entire period: 91,559 patients.

New cases

 

As of May 9th, 2021, a total of 321 new cases of laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 were registered across the republic within the past twenty-four hours. These include: Bishkek city – 221, Osh city – 7, Chuy province – 54, Osh province – 0, Talas province – 1, Naryn province – 11, Issyk-Kul province – 20, Jalal-Abad province – 7, Batken province – 0.

Overall, 98,400 cases were registered during the entire period, including 54,045 laboratory-confirmed cases and 44,355  cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

4,059 PCR tests were carried out in the past twenty-four hours.

Receiving treatment

Currently, a total of 1,661 patients throughout the republic are receiving inpatient care, while 2,528 people are in outpatient care.

The number of cases in inpatient facilities comprises: in Bishkek city – 933, Osh city – 36, Chuy province – 437, Osh province – 25, Talas province – 8, Naryn province – 61, Issyk-Kul province – 133, Jalal-Abad province – 15, Batken province – 13. Out of the 1,661 patients receiving inpatient care, the condition of 8 people (0.4%) is categorized as satisfactory, 1,110 patients (66.8%) are in moderately severe condition, 458 (27.5%) in severe and 85 (5.1%) in critical condition.

The number of patients with laboratory and clinico-epidemiologically confirmed COVID-19 who are receiving outpatient (at home) treatment comprises: in Bishkek city – 1,732, Osh city – 61, Chuy province – 500, Osh province – 34, Talas province – 20, Naryn province – 21, Issyk-Kul province – 108, Jalal-Abad province – 46, Batken province – 6.

Fatalities

 

Six (6) deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the past twenty-four hours, including 3 cases due to laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (Bishkek – 2, Chuy province – 1) and 3 cases due to COVID-19 confirmed on the basis of clinical and epidemiological data (Bishkek). The overall death toll due to COVID-19 in the republic comprises 1,655 cases, including 554 laboratory-confirmed cases and 1,101 cases confirmed based on clinical and epidemiological data.

Medical workers

Three (3) new COVID-19 cases were registered among medical workers in the past twenty-four hours: all in Bishkek city. The total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 is 4,488. In the past twenty-four hours, 5 medical workers were discharged from inpatient care and 3 medical workers were released from self-isolation at home. In total, 4,425 medical workers have recovered in the republic.
