CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) HIGHLIGHTS

• On the 17th of April 2020, 51 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria
• Till date, 493 cases have been confirmed, 159 cases have been discharged and seventeen deaths have been recorded in Nigeria
• The 51 new cases are reported from eight states- Lagos (32), Kano (6), Kwara (5), Oyo (2), Katsina (2), FCT (2), Ekiti (1), Ogun (1)
• A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities
