CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) HIGHLIGHTS

• On the 18th of April 2020, 49 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria
• Till date, 542 cases have been confirmed, 166 cases have been discharged and nineteen deaths have been recorded in Nigeria
• The 49 new cases are reported from six states- Lagos (23), FCT (12),Kano (10), Ogun (2), Oyo (1), Ekiti (1).
• A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities
