The Risk Communications and Community Engagement (

The Risk Communications and Community Engagement (RCCE) Committee of the Ministry of Health conducted a compliance check earlier today in town to check the level of adherence to public health measures in shops.

Joined by the Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Team and volunteer NIHSS students, they observed interactions at select locations including Orion Mall, Deevas Arcade, Shipping House, Unity House, OJ mall and Victoria House.

The group also interacted with shoppers to reinforce health messages and share some giveaways (masks and sanitisers) that will facilitate the implementation of the measures.

The RCCE team thanks the retailers for their welcome and eager participation in the activity, and the Rotary Club of Victoria for sponsoring masks for giveaways.

Visits by Minister Peggy Vidot, conducted in the south to the Takamaka & Baie Lazare Health Centre, and the Wellness Centre at Les Canelles.

The staff eagerly described the layout and operations of the facilities, as well as the challenges that they face. While listing these, they also explored ways to strengthen services so as to improve both their work experience and that of the patient's.

Minister Vidot welcomed the feedback and suggestions for immediate and longterm development. She further thanked the staff for their commendable work and continued devotion.
